Business movers: People starting new jobs in Ireland

Here is a selection of people starting new roles with Premier Lotteries Ireland, Football Association of Ireland, Shannon Airport Group, the North East Inner City Initiative, Pinterest and Chadwicks Group.
Stephen Donnelly has been appointed as a non-executive director with Premier Lotteries Ireland (PLI), the operator of the National Lottery. Mr Donnelly was first elected as a TD in February 2011 and served as Ireland’s Minister for Health from 2020-25. He led Ireland’s health response to Covid-19 and Ireland's progress to universal healthcare. Prior to entering politics, he worked as a consultant at McKinsey & Company across Ireland, the UK and the Middle East. He holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from UCD, a Master’s in Public Administration (International Development) from Harvard Kennedy School, and was a visiting scholar at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), studying large systems design.
Paula Brady has been appointed as head of refereeing with the Football Association of Ireland (FAI), overseeing refereeing from grassroots to League of Ireland through to international. A former international FIFA and League of Ireland referee who officiated three Women’s FAI Cup Finals, she has also held senior roles at NatWest and Ulster Bank. She has qualifications in Culture and Ethical Behaviour, Learning and Development (CIPD), Sports Psychology, Executive Coaching and a Business degree. She was honoured in 2025 at the SSE Airtricity Women’s Premier Division Awards for Services to Women’s Football and was a graduate of the FAI / Sport Ireland Mentoring & Coaching Programme.
Ray O’Driscoll has been appointed as CEO of the Shannon Airport Group, having been serving as interim CEO since September 2025. He succeeds former CEO Mary Considine. He was also previously deputy CEO and COO. He joined the group in 2014 as MD of Shannon Commercial Enterprises, the commercial property division. He has held senior finance roles with Barry Group and Eurologic Systems, having begun his career with EY in Cork. He is a member of Chartered Accountants Ireland. He holds an MBA from University of Westminster, a diploma in Strategy from UCD Smurfit Business School, and is a chartered director with the Institute of Directors. He is also a director of Shannon Chamber of Commerce.
Patricia King has been appointed as chair of the programme implementation board for the North East Inner City Initiative (NEIC). She was general secretary of the Irish Congress of Trade Unions, 2015-22; and vice-president of SIPTU, 2010-15. She was involved in the creation of the National Employment Rights Authority and was a lead negotiator for the Croke Park Agreement. She is on the boards of the National Automatic Enrolment Retirement Savings Authority, Uisce Éireann and chair of the external oversight body of the Defence Forces. She was previously on the boards of the RTÉ Authority, the National Roads Authority, the Dublin Airport Authority and the Apprenticeship Council.
Greg Owens has been appointed as VP of International with social media platform Pinterest. Based in Dublin, Greg will report to Lee Brown, Pinterest’s chief business officer, who joined earlier this year to oversee the company’s global monetisation strategy. Greg brings over 20 years in the advertising industry, most recently spending a decade at X (formerly Twitter) leading international teams through major turnarounds and high-growth periods. Prior to joining Twitter, Greg held senior roles at Stepstone which involved scaling a number of businesses in the portfolio. Also, while he was MD of digital marketplaces at Mediahuis Ireland, Greg built and scaled the company's non-publishing digital business.
Billy Browne has been appointed as managing director of HSS Hire Ireland, the tool and equipment hire division of builders’ merchants Chadwicks Group. He will set the strategic direction for HSS Hire Ireland and lead the overall performance of the business. Billy brings extensive senior leadership experience across general management, sales and finance. Most recently, he was MD of PERI Ireland. He has also held senior roles with Hilti Group, including as commercial director for Hilti Ireland, leading the direct sales, retail and operations teams, and as director of finance. Billy is a fellow of Chartered Accountants Ireland and holds a degree from the University of Galway.
