Here is a selection of people starting new roles with Damovo, the Irish Dental Association, Xcentuate, Addleshaw Goddard, Storm Technology and AllPro People Group.
Gerry Ryan has been appointed as head of sales for Ireland and the UK with Damovo, the international ICT and communications solutions provider. He brings more than 20 years of senior commercial leadership experience in telecoms and technology. His career includes key roles at Vodafone Ireland, Meteor Mobile Communications and Digicel Group, where he worked across operations in Ireland, the Caribbean, Honduras and Bermuda. He was also chief commercial officer at Spearline and most recently head of sales at Uniquely. With over 650 employees, Damovo delivers support capabilities in 150 countries. In Ireland, Damovo is based at Blackthorn Exchange at the Sandyford Business District in south Dublin.
Dr Bridget Harrington-Barry has been appointed as the new president of the Irish Dental Association (IDA). She is a senior HSE dental surgeon at University Hospital Galway. Upon taking on her new role, she has called on Government to ringfence acute hospital beds to ensure general anaesthetic services are provided for children and special care dental patients across Ireland. New data compiled by the IDA show that currently 1,800+ special care adults and children across Ireland are on waiting lists to access public dental treatment under general anaesthetic, with 49% waiting 12+ months for treatment. Nationally, 1,450 children are waiting 12+ months for treatment.
Zach Torien has been appointed as business development executive with Xcentuate, the Irish-owned operations transformation business powered by consulting expertise, analytics, data insights and AI-driven automation. He will focus his expertise on Xcentuate’s new office in Toronto, Canada. He brings high-level experience in scaling marketplace-based business models in South Africa, optimising supply-demand dynamics, improving service provider onboarding and performance. He has also worked across SaaS platforms, aligning product, operations, and commercial strategy to drive growth and deliver scalable, technology-enabled solutions. He holds an Engineering degree in in Process Chemical Engineering from Stellenbosch University, South Africa, and a Commerce degree (Business Informatics) from University of South Africa.
Kate Field has been appointed as partner in the Dublin-based disputes and employment practice of law firm Addleshaw Goddard. The firm has promoted 17 lawyers to partner this year. Kate was previously an employment legal director with the firm. She specialises in dispute resolution and employment law and has extensive experience advising clients on complex contentious and non-contentious matters. Her practice includes a particular focus on commercial litigation, notably advising retail and hospitality on all aspects of the employment relationship. She regularly represents clients before the Civil Courts and the Workplace Relations Commission, providing strategic, practical advice on dispute resolution, employment compliance and risk management.
Conor Flanagan has been appointed as practice director of the Dynamics 365 business central division with Storm Technology, a Microsoft business technology consultancy. He will lead growth and strategic direction of the business central practice. He joined the company in 2020 as financial reporting consultant, then became ERP team lead. He previously held roles including chair of technology committee with Chartered Accountants Ireland, senior auditor with Grant Thorton and accountancy roles with Finnegan Gibson. Conor is a chartered accountant (ACA) and chair of the Chartered Accountants Ireland technology committee. He holds a degree in Computer and IT and Administration and Management from Queen’s University Belfast.
Gareth Fleming has been appointed as group CEO with recruitment group AllPro People Group, as it plans to create 20 new jobs over the next three years as it expands internationally. Formerly managing director of Brightwater, Gareth is a well-known figure in Ireland’s recruitment and talent advisory sector. He now takes responsibility for AllPro’s operations across AllPro Recruitment, Zylo Talent, ORC HR Consultants and Carter Finch. AllPro’s founder, David Gleeson, will move into the role of chairman and will remain actively involved in guiding the long-term development of the group. The group services sectors including healthcare, public sector, office support, manufacturing, construction, technology and financial services.
