Gardaí discover two bodies in Kilkenny house

Two bodies have been discovered by gardaí at a house in a rural area of Co Kilkenny, between Ballyragget and Castlecomer.

Gardai were alerted at about 3.30pm and on investigation found the two corpses. The two dead people are believed to have been in their 60s.

The bodies were found separately, one downstairs in the kitchen, the other upstairs. The remains of a pet dog were also discovered.

Detectives at the scene are not thought to have reported any sign of forced entry or any sign of injury to the deceased.
