Third wedding for actress Andie - reports

Four Weddings and a Funeral star Andie MacDowell is to make a third stab at marriage herself, according to reports.

The 47-year-old actress is said to be engaged to used car dealer Kevin Geagan, who lives near her home in Asheville, North Carolina.

Geagan, the owner of Auto Advantage in nearby Fletcher, told the the Asheville Citizen Times: “I can tell you that we are engaged. Obviously, I’m very happy.”

He and MacDowell made the decision to tie the knot over the Christmas period but had not yet set a date, he added.

“It was around that time – a happy Christmastime engagement.”

The newspaper reported that it would also be the third time up the aisle for Geagen, 40, who met MacDowell through a mutual friend.

He is said to be a university graduate who studied civil engineering and got into the car business as “a fluke”, moving to the Asheville area eight years ago at about the same time as the actress.

MacDowell, who grew up in South Carolina and used to visit relatives in Asheville as a child, lives in a five-bedroom mock Tudor house in Biltmore Forest.

She and and businessman Rhett Hartzog, who had been a high school classmate, divorced in 2004 after nearly three years of marriage.

Before that she was married to model-turned-contractor Paul Qualley, with whom she has three children, for 13 years. They split in 1999.
