Here is a selection of people starting new roles with Ceroflo, Storm Technology, Kinto, Arachas Broking, Roche and Mason Hayes & Curran.
Mairsíl Claffey has been appointed as chief clinical and regulatory officer with Galway-based medical device company Ceroflo, a developer of next-generation solutions for the treatment of stroke, intracranial atherosclerotic disease (ICAD). She brings expertise in ischemic stroke and neurovascular clinical development, advancing breakthrough technologies from early feasibility studies through to pivotal trials and regulatory approval. She has played key roles in clinical programs across acute ischemic stroke and complex cerebrovascular interventions, working with leading global key opinion leaders to design robust trials, define clinically meaningful endpoints, and deliver evidence packages aligned with regulatory expectations. Ceroflo is also preparing for expanded clinical studies of its SubMax stent.
Conall O’Kane has been appointed as M365 productivity and engagement practice director with Storm Technology, a Littlefish Group company and a Microsoft business tech consultancy. He is responsible for the operational and commercial direction of the practice. His prior roles with Storm have included modern workplace practice manager, modern workplace team lead, SharePoint and M365 senior consultant. Before joining Storm, Conall was Sharepoint and O365 consultant with GreenDot Consulting, Sharepoint administrator with Australia Post, and IT support and technical lead with ESB. He holds a BSc in Business Information Systems and a Master’s in Business Information Systems from UCC, and a range of Microsoft qualifications.
Addi Colgan has been appointed as sustainable solutions manager with sustainable mobility solutions company Kinto Join. Addi will promote sustainable commuting options to private and public sector organisations in Ireland, assisting them in reducing their scope three emissions through the company’s digital mobility platforms including Zero by Kinto. She was previously a key account manager for Northgate Vehicle Hire, business development manager at Sixt Leasing and national sales manager at Enterprise Rent-A-Car. Addi holds a BA degree from the University of Liverpool in Criminology and Sociology. Beyond her work life, Addi is an advocate for autism supports in Ireland, raising awareness and fundraising for charities.
Robert Tyrrell has been appointed as chief trading officer of insurance broker Arachas Broking, part of the Ardonagh Group. He brings extensive experience across commercial lines, personal lines, and financial services, having held a number of senior leadership roles throughout his career in the insurance sector. In his new role, he will oversee Arachas’ broking leadership teams across its commercial, corporate, personal and financial services divisions nationwide. Robert’s appointment comes as the business continues to scale its nationwide operations, strengthening its broking platform, and investing in its long-term growth strategy across the Irish market. Arachas employs more than 750 people in Ireland across 14 offices nationwide.
Mohammed Elghareeb as general manager of the Irish operations of Roche, biotechnology company and global leader in in-vitro diagnostics, manufacturer of branded medicines. He succeeds Alison Muir, who is now Roche’s commercialisation strategy leader. Since joining Roche in 2015, Elghareeb has progressed through lead positions including: regional launch leader, Middle East & North Africa, Heart Failure; general manager of Roche Saudi Arabia; integrated strategy leader, Liver Cancer; and, most recently, lifecycle leader, GI Cancers in Basel, Switzerland. As general manager of Roche Saudi Arabia he established the first fully foreign-owned pharmaceutical company in the country. He holds a BSc in Pharmaceutical Science from Alexandria University, Egypt.
Aislinn O’Shea has been promoted to partner in law firm Mason Hayes & Curran’s healthcare team. She joined the firm as an associate in 2019. She previously worked as a solicitor at Doyle Solicitors in Cork. Her appointment adds further senior expertise to Ireland's largest dedicated healthcare legal practice. The team advises clients across healthcare delivery and clinical trials, as well as medical devices, pharma and healthtech. Aislinn advises a broad range of clients from hospitals and healthcare organisations to insurers and medical professionals across a wide range of cases. She specialises in medical negligence claims, notably claims involving complex catastrophic injuries. She studied Clinical Law at UCC.
