Business movers: People starting new jobs in Ireland

Here is a selection of people starting new roles with Hub Packaging, the Technological Universities Association, Drivalia Lease Ireland, Mars Wrigley, The Open University in Ireland and WEEE Ireland.
David Quigley has been appointed as chief revenue officer with Hub Packaging. He will shape and execute the company’s commercial strategy and drive growth as the company aims to double company turnover to £40m in the next five years. David brings over 20 years of commercial leadership experience across multiple senior-level roles at CocaCola Hellenic, culminating as sales director for the island of Ireland whilst leading a 370-strong team. David will continue to drive growth whilst staying true to the brand values put in place by Hub Packaging’s founders, whilst placing an emphasis on maintaining and growing customer relationships and deepening understanding of the industries the company serves.
Claire McGee has been appointed as the first chief executive officer of the Technological Universities Association (TUA), a significant milestone for Ireland’s higher education landscape. She joins TUA from the Law Society of Ireland, where she was head of public policy. Prior to that, she was head of education and innovation policy at Ibec, the employer representative body. During her tenure at Ibec, Claire was a leading voice in shaping Ireland’s skills agenda and fostering deeper collaboration between industry and academia. She will represent the interests of Ireland’s technological universities and Institutes of technology and driving the sector’s mission to deliver world-class education, research, and regional development.
Damien Keogh has been promoted to commercial director of Drivalia Lease Ireland, the rental and mobility company of the CA Auto Bank Group. He succeeds Jimmy Connellan, who is retiring; they will work closely over the coming months to ensure a smooth handover. Damien will report directly to Olivier Mantoulan, managing director. He brings 20+ years of motor industry expertise. He joined the business in 2012 (then Merrion Fleet), and was most recently head of new business, overseeing fleet acquisition and profitability for corporate and SME sectors. Following the 2023 acquisition by CA Auto Bank, Damien has continued to be a driving force behind Drivalia’s new business strategy.
Siobhan McAuley has been appointed as interim market head for Ireland in the Mars Health and Wellness division, UK and Ireland, driving sustainable growth across the business, notably the Irish market strategy for the KIND and Trü Frü brands in the Irish market. Siobhan joined Mars Ireland in 2021 and has played a key role in managing multiple customers for Mars Wrigley, Mars Food and Mars Pet Nutrition. Most recently, as national account manager, she led the launch of new products including M&Ms Minis and Maltesers White, driving sales and distribution, and boosting growth. Prior to working at Mars Ireland, Siobhan held sales roles with Hachette UK and with DK Publishing.
Michael Bower has been promoted to director of The Open University in Ireland, from his prior role as deputy director of student success and strategy. He brings more than a decade of leadership experience within the organisation, and he has played a central role in developing strategic partnerships with higher education institutions, employers and government bodies across Northern Ireland and Ireland. He succeeds John D'Arcy, who has retired after 15 years as director. Michael will lead the university’s work across the island of Ireland, focusing on expanding access to flexible higher education, developing research partnerships and strengthening collaboration with industry and the skills sector to meet workforce needs.
Jane Carolan has been appointed to the board of WEEE Ireland (Waste, Electrical and Electronic Equipment), the electrical and electronic appliances collection and recycling group for its 1,300+ producer members. Jane represents the Lighting Association of Ireland (LAI) on the WEEE Ireland board. Jane is head of group operations at the Click Ireland Group, which includes Ovia Lighting Ireland, Elite Security Products Ireland and Click Litehouse. She joined Click Ireland in 2006. She has also held roles in banking across administration, customer service and sales. She holds qualifications in HR Management and Recruitment, as well as a Professional Diploma in Leadership Management from UCD.
