Ocean Energy nominated

OCEAN ENERGY, headquartered in Cobh, Co Cork, has been nominated for a prestigious Rushlight Award in London for its contribution to wave energy technology.

The awards will be presented at the Connaught Hotel in London today.

Founded in 2002 the company has pioneered wave technology in Ireland over the last six years.

Michael Whelan, one of Ocean Energy’s founding directors, will attend today’s event with his wife Margaret and guests Dr Tony Lewis of University College Cork and Graham Brennan of Sustainable Energy Ireland.
