Ecocem appoints three directors

Environmentally friendly cement firm Ecocem has appointed three directors to its board.

Former Bank of Ireland governor Laurence Crowley will become the company’s chairman.

The board will also be beefed up with the appointment of Liam Durkan as a non-executive director. Mr Durkan has been with the Durkan Group of companies for the past 15 years in a range of management roles.

He is joined on the board by Ged Pierse, the head of Pierse Contracting.
