Co-op acquires stake in French firm

Perrine is engaged in manufacturing and marketing specialised innovative food products and concepts for convenience food and associated markets.

It supplies deli, bakery and snack food outlets.

Tipperary Co-op general manager Tim Dullea said the acquisition provides the co-op with entry into a niche market where major growth is expected.

He said the venture will complement Tipperary’s other French subsidiary company, Tippagral, which assembles, packs and distributes an extensive range of specialised cheese products.
