FULL-TIME: Cork 0-29 Tipperary 0-22

9:25pm: We'll wrap it there for tonight with Cork three for three on top of Division 1A. In Div 1B, Wexford beat Carlow by 2-28 to 1-21 with Simon Roche hitting 0-14. Eoghan Cormican's match report and reaction will be on the website shortly, with more follow-up on Monday. Plus tune in for Dalo's column Monday morning as well as the Dalo podcast, with Liam Sheedy as guest with the lads.

9:23pm: While Cork's attack impressed Liam Sheedy feels Ben O'Connor will be even more pleased with the solidiity of the defence, which didn't allow Tipp any real sniff of a goal chance.

9:19pm: Winning is the most pleasing aspect, Ben O'Connor says on RTÉ, who are presisting with the line of questioning O'Connor invited last week with those, 'this is not soccer' remarks, asking him if he encourages his players to play on the edge. "What aren't other county aren't on the edge?" says Ben.

9:10pm: Rob Downey didn't think there was much in the melee. "I wouldn't even call it a melee. A small bit of pushing and shoving."

Small bit leading question for Darragh - Does Ben O'Connor encourage you to play on the edge? "The same as any other manager," Fitz sideskips neatly.

Does it banish the demons from the All-Ireland, Darragh Fitz is asked on RTÉ. "No it doesn't, but we've moved on. It's forced us to get better."

Full-time: Just a small bit behind schedule, Cork get to play Killeagh at the final whistle of a win over Tipp.

74 mins: Diarmuid Healy knocks over the last point of the game to make it a seven-point win for Cork.

73 mins: Tim O'Mahony embroiders it for Cork. Stretching home. 28-22

71 mins: Alan Connolly extends the Cork lead again from a free, then he arcs over a brilliant score after cutting in from sideline. His fourth from play.

70 mins: Four mins to be added.

68 mins: Eoghan Connolly another long-ranger for Tipp, drills it over. Back to three.

66 mins: Healy wide with a slight ambitious floater for Cork. They're not quite putting it to bed yet. Free for Cork now though for foul on Alan Connolly by a retreating Jake Morris. A bit soft. Actually it was for earlier foul and Darragh Fitz points it. Cork four up.

64 mins: Paddy McCormack pulled for a throw after bit fetch. Looked a bit dodge alright. Darragh Mac has another Tipp free anyway. Elaborate routine obliges for him. Liam Cahill will like how Tipp have stayed alive in this. 24-21

62 mins: William Buckley pulls back Noel McGrath for another Tipp free. Eoghan Connolly leaves this one short from his own 65. Healy wide for Cork. Robbie O'Flynn on for Cork's Buckley who has been super.

61 mins: Conor Stakelum threats a goal but overcarries to jubilation in Cork defence.

59 mins: Rob Downey done for bulldozing coming out. Free in for Tipp.  Small bit of a needle there still. Darragh McCarthy points despite whistle and boos around the Pairc. Paddy McCormack in for Tipp for Ormond.

58 mins: Fitzgibbon lovely score. He has been Cork's go-to all day and when there a small sense of alarm at Tipp nudging closer he shuts the door.

56 mins: Young corner back Cathal O'Reilly sneaks up the left to point for Tipp. Then another E Connolly free. It's back to four. 23-19

54 mins: Monster free from Eoghan Connolly. Darragh McCarthy on for Tipp. Greeted with some boos from those who remember one of his previous outings at the venue.

53 mins: Noel Mcgrath arcs over a trademark after a one-two with Morris. Forgot to mention Brian Hayes is on and points for Cork. 23-16

52 mins: Darragh Fitzgibbon found in acres for Cork and he nicks over his fifth from play. William Buckley then lofts over from out on the left. Cork striding for home. 22-15

51 mins: Hugh O'Connor for Ethan Twomey.

49 mins: Big catch by Rob Downey rouses the packed Pairc. Cork retreat and let Craig Morgan blast one well wide.

47 mins: William Buckley with a Cork point after Cork forwards stopped Tipp backs coming out. Willie Connors launches a massive reply for Tipp. Noel McGrath on now, for Josh Keller. Tipp will want Noel to restore some bit of order to this.

45 mins: Connolly fires over another Cork free after he was fouled by Craig Morgan. Second half a lot scrappier than the first. Eoghan Connolly bangs over a long range free for Tipp 19-14

43 mins: Eoghan Connolly in for Tipp, Tim O'Mahony in for Cork. Kennedy off for Tipp, not sure who left the Cork team. It was Micheal Mullins, our friends on Score Beo confirm

42 mins: Free in for Cork after Josh Keller foul in a ruck. Alan Connolly still on the closer ones and he has no bother sticking over from 45. 18-13

41 mins: Willie Connors fouled going through on goal. Won't be black because he was pulled back rather than pulled down. A debatable rule. Yellow correct under the rules. Morris points the free. 17-13

40 mins: Diarmuid Healy took on half a dozen Tipp backs after a lovely pickup but eventually found a cul de sac.

38 mins: Jake Morris now on the Tipp frees with Forde gone, and he misses it from close in.

37 mins: Darragh Fitzgibbon on this free for Cork but he puts it wide from a long way out. Sam O'Farrell wide from play. Free in for Tipp.

35 mins: First point of second half from Darragh Fitz after neat interplay. 17-12.

8:25pm. Cormac O'Brien on for Mark Coleman on the Cork side. John McGrath in for Tipp, with Darragh Stakelum gone.

8:23pm: Liam Sheedy on RTÉ feels the Forde red might be rescinded though accepts he was contributing to a melee. Dónal Óg says it was childish carry on.

8:19pm: The children from Glounthaune and Ballyheada NS are providing the half-time entertainment in the mini games. TOC

8:16pm Forde appears to have shouldered somebody in the back during the 'discussions', judging by RTE pictures. Didn't look red-worthy if that was the offence picked out. Barrett was jostling in there too.

8:13pm: 30,910 is the attendance, confirms Eoghan Cormican down in Pairc, a modern record for a regular league fixture.  Ask John Fogarty what modern means, not sure about the cutoff. Let's see if Eoghan saw the row.

38 mins: The notebook is out. Couple of yellows. Connolly and Connors. All grand so... hold on. Reds for Shane Barrett and Jason Forde. Neither recipient agrees with this verdict. Half-time. Ben O'Connor has his say with the referee, then Liam Cahill has a little chat too. We await evidence for the prosecution. Cork four up at the break and value for it.

36 mins: Three minutes have passed and Liam Gordon still looks perplexed as to what he might do about this. He is consulting his officials. Linesman Johnny Murphy appears the more vocal as it was his side of the field. The players appeared to have moved on with their lives though and are chatting among themselves. It's nearly half-time anyway.

33 mins: More rooting. This time flashpoint seems more serious. A lot of players involved. Unclear what sparked it, well away from the ball. Even the two goalies out in the middle of the field. Defusing the situation seems nobody's priority as things rumble on. Mostly handbags mind you.

30 mins: Jake Morris catch, turn, run and score. Mark Coleman replies 16-11. Seamus Kennedy responds the other way. Basketballish.16-12

29 mins: Darragh Fitz races towards Tipp goal but shot was hooked. Eoin Downey launches his second point, off left this time. Five in a row again for Cork. 15-10

26 mins: D Healy point for Cork. Rebels forwards thriving whenever they get ball in any kind of space. 14-10. First bit of rooting. The captains getting a lecture. Not much in it. Johnny Ryan is back for Tipp. Jason Forde puts a free wide. Ref takes pity on us all and slows down the Cork puckout.

25 mins: Barrett sweet point for Cork. EC says; The three-man inside line of the Pat Ryan era not in play here. Corner-forward William Buckley has been given permission to bring Cathal O'Reilly wherever he pleases.

24 mins: Alan Connolly has though, another for him. 11-10. Ben O'Connor suggesting Tipp are eating into the sinbin with slow puckouts.  Can't slow down Connolly tho. He has another. 12-10

23 mins: He lands another from downtown. 10 all. Tipp have done well with 14. Though Therese notes: No Tipp forward has scored from play since the 6th minute.

22 mins: Jason Forde first point from a free. 10-9.

21 mins: Forget all that.. Willie steps out of the pocket to drive over the bar from halfway. An excuse to get out the Willie thorn in Cork side line..

20 mins: Eoghan Cormican says: Willie Connors, as he was for a spell of the All-Ireland final, is dropping back to sit in the pocket and operate as a seventh Tipp defender. Has picked up plenty of loose ball in the opening quarter, particularly when a Tipp colleague manages to spoil an incoming delivery from their opposite red number, but Tipp have yet to point from an attack initiated by their sweeper.

19 mins: Conor Stakelum steadies Tipp ship after Seamus Kennedy found him. SOme delightful meandering from Kennedy before releasing the pass. Eoin Downey replies for Cork. 10-7.

18 mins: Tipp have gone completely out of the game the last five minutes.

17 mins; Rhys Shelly saves Dec Dalton's penalty. But Darragh Fitz points from next play. Five in a row for Cork, three for Fitzgibbon. Dalton didn't really catch that pen. 9-6

16 mins: Shane Barrett pulled down for a Cork penalty and, you'd imagine, a black card. Yes, Johnny Ryan will get a rest here. Will Cork take over now?

15 mins: Alan Connolly isolates Johnny Ryan and gets away to score. Cork lead by 2 and look to be getting on top of Tipp.

14 mins: Shane Barrett sprints away from Connors to fire over for a Cork lead. 7-6

13 mins: Don't think there's been a free since first minute but there's one now for Cork. Pace of game has been good. Alan Connolly sticks it over. All square at 0-6.

12 mins: Sam o'Farrell off the mark, lofting over from the left sideline. William Buckley immediately responds.

10 mins: Almost a beautiful Cork goal after Darragh Fitz found Dalton, who batted wide. The pick out was quality. Craig Morgan doesn't miss when an effort from middle of the field. Tipp lead again.

9 mins: Willie Connors finding himself as the spare Tipp defender a few times already. No stopping Darragh Fitz here who cuts inside Seamus Kennedy for his second point.

8 mins: Diarmuid Healy drives over from centre field after a neat turn away from his marker. One in it. Andrew Ormond drops one short for Tipp

7 mins: The quick puckouts after a wide are not ideal for a live blogger.

6 mins: Both sides appear to have a spare defender. Unsure who initiated a sweeper if anyone?

5 mins: Andrew Ormond point after Pat Collins puckout goes awry. Ormond then gets another. Tipp looking quite slick.

4 mins Mark Coleman strides up the Cork left and strikes over on the run from the sideline. Great score. Desmond as they'd say on Soccer Saturday. Oisin O strikes wide.

3 mins: Youngster Oisin O'Donoghue adds Tipp's second after Jake Morris threatened to drive for goal. Darragh Fitz opens account for Cork.

2 mins: Jake Morris swings over the first point of the night from outside the 45. Dec Dalton almost responded immediately but drifted it wide from the sideline.

1 min: Jason Forde fires the first free from long range but drops it short.

7:30pm: They are up and running. Pitch looking very good.

7:28pm: The two number 10s are captains - Darragh Fitzgibbon and Jake Morris. Jake won the toss. TOC

7:21pm: TOC: The PA has welcomed Tipperary to Páirc Uí Chaoimh as reigning All -Ireland champions. Big cheer from the travelling Tipp supporters.

7:19pm

:

Therese O'Callaghan:

It must have been a strange evening for Patrick Horgan, who was on the sideline with Noel Furlong as part of his U20 hurling management team.

After 18 seasons that included four All-Stars, he announced his retirement from intercounty hurling last September.

7:14pm: No changes from the named teams for either county. That's 10 All-Ireland final starters for Cork and nine for Tipperary. The crowd now expected to exceed 30,000.

Therese O'Callaghan reports: With both teams getting ready for the upcoming championship, they will take a lot from this workout.

Freetakers Barry Walsh top scored for Cork with 1-7, and it was his goal from a 20 metre free two minutes from half-time that yielded a 1-13 to 0-12 interval advantage.

Noel Furlong's side then took control when captain Barry O'Flynn fired an excellent goal to the far corner of the net in the 47th minute, 2-17 to 0-14.

Placed ball expert Darragh Ryan was the main contributor for Rónán Joyce's team with a contribution of eleven points (10 frees).

6:15pm: We'll be with you with updates from a mouth-watering Allianz League Division 1A tie, with both sides on 100% records after their first two games. Throw-in is at 7:30pm.

A massive crowd is expected with the record set at the Páirc last year under threat.

Dalo's verdict: Tipp won't take a backward step but  Cork's intent is greater.

Christy O'Connor says Cork are hoping now that a black winter has transformed them into a different animal.
