Gardaí arrest man, 20s, in connection with Temple Bar assault

The incident left a man, 40s, seriously injured and in critical condition at Beaumont Hospital

Gardaí in Pearse St, Dublin, continue to investigate the incident.

A man in his 20s has been arrested in connection with a serious assault that occurred in Temple Bar, Dublin, earlier this month. 

The incident happened in the early hours of Thursday, August 21.

A man in his 40s, who was seriously injured in the incident, was taken to Beaumont Hospital in a critical condition, where he currently remains.

The man arrested on Friday in connection with this investigation is currently detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984 at a garda station in Dublin.

Gardaí in Pearse St, Dublin, are continuing to investigate the incident.
