Man dies following shooting in Ballyfermot

A man has died following a shooting in Dublin this morning.

It happened in the Croftwood Park area of Ballyfermot at around 11am.

The man received a number of gunshot wounds and has been pronounced dead at the scene.

Gardaí and emergency services are at the scene.

The area remains sealed off.

Gardaí are appealing for anyone with information, particularly anyone who was in the area between 10:30am - 11:30am, to contact Ballyfermot Garda Station on 01 666 7200 or the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111.
