Commins due back tomorrow
Sharon Commins will be back in the country by tomorrow afternoon.
The 32-year-old aid worker from Clontarf in Dublin has been released in Sudan after more than three months in captivity.
She was kidnapped at gunpoint from the GOAL compound in Darfur in July, along with a Ugandan colleague, who has also now been freed.
The Government Gulfstream Four jet is on its way to Khartoom this evening, with an Air Corps crew and medical staff on board.
Taoiseach Brian Cowen said today's news will come as a huge relief for her family and friends.
