Met Eireann issues gale warning

Met Eireann have issued a gale warning ahead of bad weather conditions off the coast today.

Winds are expected to reach up to gale force eight in places, while force six winds from the Northwest will affect all coasts by this evening.

Meanwhile, all Irish ferries sailings on the Dublin to Hollyhead route have been cancelled today due to the bad weather conditions.

Road conditions will also be affected today with surface water in places, especially in the North and West.
