Bob Dylan has announced a tour for later this year in the UK and Ireland, complete with two gigs in Co Kerry.
The 84-year-old music legend is set to play Gleneagle Arena in Killarney on November 23 and 24, with the Rowdy & Ways Tour also heading to the Waterfront, Belfast, on November 19-20; and 3Arena, Dublin, on November 25.
It’s the singer’s first tour in Ireland since the film,
starring Timotheé Chalamet, re-ignited interest in Dylan’s music, in particular his early material. He has played at the Marquee in Cork on three occasions, the last being 2014, and also teamed up with Neil Young for an impressive double bill at Nowlan Park, Kilkenny, in 2019.
Organisers have noted that the upcoming concerts are being run in partnership with Yondr, with mobile phones being put out of use in the various venues.
Tickets for the concerts go on sale on Friday, July 18, at 10am.
