Josh Coburn scored a brace against his former club as Millwall claimed a 2-1 Sky Bet Championship victory over promotion rivals Middlesbrough at the Riverside Stadium.
An energetic first half from the hosts saw skipper Dael Fry head them in front - assisted by Republic of Ireland international Alan Browne - but former Boro striker Coburn spearheaded the comeback for the Lions with two second-half goals.
Three points means Millwall now leapfrog Middlesbrough in the table, moving into the automatic promotion spots as the Teessiders drop into the play-off positions.
Meanwhile Patson Daka raced back from international duty to score twice and earn Leicester a point in their fight against relegation following a 2-2 draw against Preston.
Striker Daka, who started for the Foxes having played for Zambia against Argentina in Buenos Aires in the early hours of Wednesday, pounced on Andrew Moran’s under-hit back-pass and sidestepped goalkeeper Daniel Iversen to roll in a fourth-minute opener from the edge of the penalty area.
Moran made amends for his error when he struck a 38th-minute equaliser – his first Preston goal since arriving from Brighton in February – taking on Lewis Dobbin’s pass and striking a shot that just crossed the line after bouncing down off the crossbar.
Ben Whiteman then looped in a 45th-minute header from Alfie Devine’s corner to put the visitors on course for a second successive victory.
But Daka capitalised on another error to equalise in the 81st minute, pouncing to thrash an equaliser into the roof of the net after Pol Valentin had played the ball across the face of his own penalty area in trying to clear Abdul Fatawu’s cross.
Leicester remain in the relegation zone, with only one win in 14 league matches, but their second-half recovery will give them hope for the run-in.
Adam Idah came off the bench in the 71st minute as Swansea City were losing 3-1 but a goal and an assist for the Cork native earned his side a draw away at Sheffield United.
Tom Cannon had netted to edge the Blades two-goals clear by the 64th minute but his fellow Ireland forward emerged from the bench to earn Swansea a point.
Finally QPR beat Watford 2-1 at Loftus Road to make it three consecutive wins and deal a seemingly fatal blow to the Hornets’ already slim chances of reaching the play-offs.
Rayan Kolli and Paul Smyth both scored their third goals in two matches with Harvey Vale helping set up both finishes, continuing the impressive form that led to his recent Ireland call-up.
