Thai pair set the pace

Pre-tournament favourites Thongchai Jaidee and Prayad Marksaeng took Thailand into the lead at the World Cup qualifying in Malaysia after a two under par 70 in the second round foursomes.

On 13 under at halfway they are one ahead of South Korea, while joint first round leaders Malaysia dropped back to joint seventh after following up their fourball 61 with only a 75.

Five teams qualify for the World Cup in China in November and as things stand the other would be the Dutch pair Maarten Lafeber and Robert-Jan Derksen, New Zealand and the Philippines.
