DCU win thrilling Daithi Billings Cup final

DCU’s Barry Kerr from Monaghan became the first captain to receive the Corn Daithi Billings Cup, the trophy honouring the memory of the late Dave Billings, who passed away last April.
Mr Billings was a hugely respected GAA officer in UCD, and was a prominent champion of third level GAA.
The thrilling final was a fitting tribute to the memory of the man whom the trophy is named after.
DCU led by two points at half-time, and despite looking like pulling away with two goals in the second-half, two late goals from UCD set up a dramatic finale, with DCU emerging victorious by the skin of their teeth.
