There was an accident during the last race of the day at Thruxton in which a female spectator was injured.

The spectator has been transferred to Winchester Hospital.

Japanese driver, Takuma Sato scored his tenth victory in the British Formula 3 Championship at Thruxton this evening.

Irish driver, Derek Hayes was fifth. Sato went passed pole sitter and team mate, Anthony Davidson at mid distance and went on to win by over half a second.

In the Scholarship Class, Robert Doornbos took the chequered flag ahead of Northern Ireland’s, Matthew Gilmore.

Mark Mayall was third just ahead of Irish ace, Michael Keohane.
