Counterfeit drugs - Naive and dangerous

IN difficult times it is always tempting to try to save money any way we can but in some instances there can be fatal consequences.

Counterfeit drugs - Naive and dangerous

Gardaí believe that fake tranquillisers bought through the internet may have been involved in the deaths of two young men in Tralee in recent weeks.

Despite the fall in price for many drugs in recent times very many people are still prepared to take the risk and buy drugs through the internet because they seem so much cheaper than those in our high street pharmacies.

This is as naive as it is dangerous as criminal counterfeiters have no compunction about selling ineffective or untested products to faceless customers. By trying to save a few cents you are running the risk of using untested, unverified and dangerous products masquerading as real drugs. It is simply not worth the risk.
