Gardaí have identified at least 30 suspects in their investigation into the murder of 11-year-old Robert Holohan in Co Cork.

Gardaí have identified at least 30 suspects in their investigation into the murder of 11-year-old Robert Holohan in Co Cork.

Last night, detectives investigating the disappearance of the schoolboy confirmed that a body found on Inch Strand on Wednesday was that of the missing youngster.

They also confirmed that he had been murdered, but refused to reveal the cause of death.

At a press conference last night, gardaí said 30 suspects were being sought for questioning, including some known sex offenders.

Speaking at the conference, Assistant Garda Commissioner Tony Hickey said 100 gardaí were involved in the investigation.
