Dilek Dogan Gurluk has been appointed as general manager of Novo Nordisk Ireland, a global healthcare company with expertise in diabetes, obesity, and rare chronic diseases. Dilek joined Novo Nordisk Netherlands in 2023 as a senior marketing director. With over two decades experience, she has a proven track record of successfully commercialising brands and of building high-performing teams across Europe, Turkey, the Middle East, and the Asia Pacific. She holds a degree in Political Science and International Relations from Bogazici University in Istanbul, Turkey, and an Executive Master of Business Administration from Koc University in Istanbul, Turkey. Novo Nordisk employs around 78,400 people in 80 countries.
Declan Hannon has been appointed as operations director at Adare Global Personnel Solutions Ltd (AGPS), the Adare-based recruitment firm. A five-time All-Ireland Hurling Championship-winning captain with Limerick and three-time All-Star, Declan has also built a strong career in recruitment, with nine years’ experience across multiple industries. He joins AGPS from Unijobs DAC, where he quickly rose from recruitment administrator to national recruitment manager. H brings expertise in building high-performing teams and delivering proven results for clients. Declan, a native of Adare, was educated at Ardscoil RĂs and Mary Immaculate College. His recruitment career began in 2016, spanning roles in healthcare and national workforce management.
Lynda Nyhan has been appointed as Irish employment practice lead with law firm Taylor Wessing, based in its Dublin office. Lynda, an accomplished employment specialist, joins from ICON plc, where she was the lead employment counsel for EMEA and APAC. Her deep expertise in Ireland and in other key markets will be a powerful asset for domestic and multi-national clients. Lynda has extensive experience across a wide range of employment advisory areas with particular experience in M&A and restructuring transactions, high-value disputes, and complex dismissal cases. As lead employment counsel in respect of 30 countries in EMEA and APAC, Lynda has worked on multiple cross-border matters.
Declan White has been appointed as chief executive officer with environmental services company Veolia Ireland. He will lead Veolia’s team of over 700 employees in Ireland in providing a comprehensive range of innovative solutions for decarbonisation, depollution, and resource regeneration to its customers that enable ecological transformation. A chartered engineer with extensive senior management experience in operations, finance and commercial management in Ireland and the US, Declan has been part of the Veolia Ireland team since 2006. He has held key business development and regional director positions within the organisation, working across Veolia’s core business activities, including energy, water, and waste management.
Stewart McDonald has joined Fenton Fitzwilliam, the recently launched public affairs and communications consultancy, as a senior adviser. A former UK member of parliament, 2015-24, he joins as the firm deepens its strategic advice services in Dublin and Brussels. During his time in Westminster, he helped shape debate on foreign affairs, European engagement and technology policy. As vice-chair of the all-party parliamentary group on Ukraine, he earned a Ukrainian state honour from President Zelensky. He will now advise clients on the political, policy and regulatory developments shaping Europe’s security and international affairs agenda. Lucas Oliveira has been appointed as associate creative director with BBH Dublin. He joins the agency from Droga5 Dublin, bringing a wealth of international experience from a career spanning Brazil, the US, Spain and Ireland. With 15 years of experience, Oliveira has worked at some of the world’s most respected agencies, including Wieden+Kennedy São Paulo, Leo Burnett Chicago, and Lola Mullenlowe Madrid. His award-winning portfolio includes the globally acclaimed LEGO campaign Play is your Super Power and Paul Coelho's The Alchemist project.
