Long-standing Cork accountancy and wealth management firm, Quintas has been acquired by UK and Irish group, Xeinadin for an undisclosed amount.
Formed in 2005, Quintas is based in Cork city and currently employs 70 people. The firm specialises in corporate finance, banking, debt resolution and insolvency as well as mergers and acquisitions for SMEs and family businesses.
"Today marks the latest exciting phase in the Quintas journey," said Quintas managing partner, Paul O'Connell.
"This move is a platform for new opportunities, further growth for the business and will support the next generations of leaders at Quintas."
The firm's acquirer, Xeinadin Group, is a multi-disciplinary business advisory and accountancy group based across the UK and Ireland. Headquartered in London, the firm group spreads across more than 130 offices with 1,800 people employed within the group.
With 10 regional hubs across the UK and Ireland, the firm has around 60,000 clients and in 2022, was named the 17th largest accountancy firm in the Accountancy Age 50+50 rankings.
"We are delighted to welcome Quintas to the Xeinadin Group," said Group CEO, Derry Crowley.
"This move will allow us both to better serve our valued customers, transfer knowledge and increase efficiencies and we look forward to working with them as part of the senior leadership team for Xeinadin Ireland.”
In May 2022, Xeinadin formed a strategic partnership with private equity firm Exponent, which involved Exponent making a significant minority investment in Xeinadin to support the business’s growth plans.
“Leveraging the resources and expertise of both organisations, we are now even better placed to protect and grow the business of our clients," Mr O'Connell added.
"We would like to thank our clients for their continued support and we look forward to working with them for many years to come.”
