Online travel company reports heavy bookings for family trips to Lapland this Christmas, up by a third from last year. 

The company offers three-day trips from €1,199 but those on short time and tighter budgets can avail of one- or two-day trips from €429.

Conquer Cornwall

Poldark Country (Cornwall) is opening up to Irish visitors and travellers have the option of flying directly from Dublin to Newquay with Aer Lingus commuter, from €29.99, although more likely to come in around €100 return. 

Aspects Holidays offers a week at Pleasant Cottage in St Just, a traditional village with a history of mining, fishing and farming. A week this autumn is from €480. and 

Hop to Hawaii

Millions of tourists can’t be terribly wrong, and is banking on the traditional attraction of Hawaii as a special destination.

But the company offers a bit more than the normal run-of-the-mill packages and features combinations to include Vancouver, New York, Las Vegas and San Francisco, with prices running from between €2,300 and €3,700, the latter a 17-day honeymoon package. Flights are mostly ex-Dublin. or 01-2412389.

Clients can also avail of a 10-night package taking in Vancouver and a seven-night cruise in May 2017 on board Disney Wonder from €2,450.
