‘Dead’ Filipino child resurrected at her funeral

A three-year-old Filipino girl who was pronounced dead last week astounded everyone at her funeral when she woke up.

A video taken on a phone by one of the mourners at the funeral in Zamboanga del Sur in southern Philippines went viral and the local police have since confirmed the incident.

The video shows the unnamed girl being taken from the coffin by her father and held while mourners crowd around.

Police Senior Inspector Heidil Teelan told the Phillipine Star that while the police were not the proper authority to confirm the medical case, they had spoken to the family.

The little girl was reportedly brought to a clinic for medical attention last Friday after suffering a serious fever for days.

According to Teelan, she was pronounced dead at the clinic the next day.

“During that time, the attending clinic personnel and physician confirmed that the young patient had no more pulse and was clinically dead last Saturday morning about 9am,” he said.

Her family then brought her home to prepare her for the funeral in the church the next day. <
