Gwyneth Paltrow: ‘Co-creation’ of new family a lot of work

They have seemingly had the smoothest conscious uncoupling in showbiz history.

But Gwyneth Paltrow has confessed a lot of work has gone into her “co-creation” of a new family unit with ex-husband Chris Martin.

The 43-year-old actress and the Coldplay frontman, who have children Apple, 11, and Moses, 10, together – split in March 2014 but she says they have remained “very close”.

She said: “I think we are better as friends than we were married. We are very close and supportive of one another.

The pair have been pictured enjoying family outings and holidays together ever since the Hollywood couple announced that they were calling time on their marriage.

“It hasn’t always been easy for us because you have good days and bad days as you do in life with anything, but I feel lucky because Chris has been willing to push himself for the sake of the kids and help me co-create this new family.

“It’s like we are still a family, but not a couple.”

Paltrow is now dating TV producer Brad Falchuk and has been having some “amazing” experiences.

Speaking about her new romance, she also told Australia’s Marie Claire magazine: “I don’t want to say too much, but I will say you just never know what is going to happen, what people you are going to meet, what amazing lessons you are going to learn.”

And she hasn’t ruled out marrying again.

She added: “I think marriage is a beautiful and noble institution, but it is not like I am holding a goal of getting remarried.”

Martin has been linked to Jennifer Lawrence and Peaky Blinders actress Annabelle Wallis.
