THE woman accused of murdering British student Meredith Kercher is eager to give evidence in her defence, her father said yesterday.
Amanda Knox is on trial in Perugia, central Italy, with her former Italian boyfriend Raffaele Sollecito for the killing of her flatmate in 2007.
“She’s hanging in there,” Curt Knox said in an interview with NBC’s Today Show. “She’s getting anxious to testify and get her word in court that she’s 100% innocent.”
Knox’s family have attended every hearing since the trial started in January and have defended her in the media.
The trial may go on until the end of the year.
