Wrong approach

ROBERT Sharpe (Letters, September 13) is correct when he states it is prohibition that has created the worldwide failure to stop the use of illegal drugs.

For four years I have endeavoured to promote the goals of the organisation called DID (Decriminalise Illegal Drugs) with no support from civil rights organisations, the media or elected officials.

There is not one – and I mean not one – valid argument for our current approach to solving the illegal drugs problem.
