Waste of money

A recent article in the Irish Examiner (May 16) shows no let-up in the waste of taxpayers’ money.

Three large notices in the paper on the referendum were advertised by the same returning officer for three different constituencies.

Could these three notices not have been incorporated into one?

This would have added two extra lines in one advert, thereby eliminating, and saving the taxpayer the expense of, two advertisements.

I hope this nonsense is not replicated throughout the country.
