Niall Ryan (Letters, Jul 26) is wrong when he says “tribunals have been a waste” and “their findings ... meaningless”. The tribunals decided the facts as they saw them.
It is not the fault of those who presided that there have been no convictions. Neither is their cost their fault.
The terms of reference and the salaries of those who presided at tribunals were decided by the political system.
