Readers Blog: Say no to omitting Nollaig from stamps

It seems An Post can’t wait to damage itself more;at a time of much needed revenue, not to mention the season of goodwill, they continue to make bad decisions.

The”Christmas”stamps are out and again they have chosen to exclude ”Nollaig” from all size versions of their designs. The stamps are bright, yet soul-less,without this uniquely Irish, ancient word.

I thought last year’s omission of Nollaig was an oversight, yet to repeat that error has cast An Post into the pit of corporate, uniform blandness.

Our stamps at this special time, have lost warm appeal and now look anonymous. I won’t be buying them.
