Playing the man

SIMON Coveney had his 15 minutes of fame this week when he played the man, not the ball, with regard to the Cowen interview.

While FF means nothing to me, I do think Coveney was unfair and opportunistic in his tweeting. I realise he is a young TD who needs to build up a base, but a little good grace and human understanding would also enhance his stature. After all, his own party leader forgave him his disloyalty in the recent failed leadership putsch.
