Opposition should cop on

The motion of no confidence makes a mockery of opposition politics.

It has all the hallmark of a weak opposition being egged on by either a petty band of parliamentary reporters, or a marginal and perpetually exercised constituent.

Most people — including the gardaí who view it not their place to tittle-tattle — would rather see this valuable time, resources and analysis being directed to more pressing affairs.

No pun intended, but can we have a bit of cop-on?
