Now that the residence of the former disgraced Taoiseach Haughey, Abbeville, is back on the market, would it not be an opportune moment for the State to purchase it?
It would be ideal to transform it into a museum — a museum of crime.
This, I feel, would be a fitting tribute to the man who was responsible, single-handedly, for introducing corruption into Irish politics.
This would attract many visitors to the northside and would be a boost to the economy of the city.
We are one of the few cities in Europe that does not have a museum dedicated to criminals.
