Leicester’s win must be a harbinger of change

After Leicester winning the English Premier League in recent weeks, our world has taken a different shape and now I’m “absolutely sure” the following will happen in the next 12 months:

The Luas drivers will resign from their union and do a deal with Transdev.

Our General Election will be re-run, with the same result, except this time Shane Ross is elected as Taoiseach.

Leo Varadkar finally has enough, leaves politics and replaces Ray D’Arcy on RTÉ’s Saturday night show.

Britain will leave the EU.

Boris Johnson will replace Cameron as Prime Minister.

Property Tax will be increased due to scrapping of water charges.

Gerry Adams admits to being in the IRA.

Our international soccer team will reach the semi-finals in France.

The United States of America will have a new president, with a new hairdo and it won’t be Hilary.

Finally, our retired Taoiseach Enda Kenny, will be working as a communications consultant for TV3.
