It’s time to put the brakes on rising car insurance

The rising cost of car insurance is a major concern for Irish motorists. Motorists have no legal choice but to pay, even though our roads are littered with pot holes, which often cause accidents.

We have seen an increase of 40% in insurance in two years, but it’s a sad state of affairs when the safety of road-users is secondary. This is exactly why we need leadership and for car insurance to be regulated as a matter of urgency.

How can any insurance justify such a huge hike? They need to put the brakes on the cost increases.
