Garda strike may topple our new aristocracy

WOULD all the “decent, law-abiding people” of this state really support a government crackdown against a strike by the gardaí?

The same way they have “supported” NAMA, which is the greatest theft of public money in the history of western democracy?

The same way they “support” the resulting medicine of savage cuts in frontline pay and public services administered by the best paid politicians in Europe?

We are being forced to accept socialism for the rich where debt is nationalised and profit is privatised. The old, the sick, the young and the workers of this state are being sacrificed on the altar of greed by a tiny elite who think and act like a new aristocracy.

Revolutions have been fought for less. The Government and the political establishment around it has lost all moral right to exist, let alone govern. If it takes the gardaí to bring them down, so be it.
