Flights procedure a passport to terrorism?

UNTIL quite recently, Ryanair boarding passes included not just the name of the person boarding, but his or her passport number.

In a country of five million people I’m sure it would be no great feat to gain further information about the person concerned if these boarding passes got into the wrong hands.

I found one of these paper boarding passes tucked into the side of a seat on a Ryanair flight. I always had a bad feeling about this and made sure to destroy my boarding pass.

The news that genuine Irish passport numbers were found on the forged passports used by those allegedly responsible for killing a senior Hamas figure in Dubai has set off alarm bells. Could there be a connection?
