Delighted our endurance is winning IMF plaudits

Thank you Ms Lagarde. Thank you ever so much for paying tribute to my heroism over the past years in enduring the regime of austerity that you, the Brians and Enda imposed on me and my fellow citizens. I’m so proud and re-energised by your plaudits!

Incidentally, Ms Lagarde, how do you make out that our political representatives are also heroes since austerity largely bypassed them?

These heroic representatives living in a small, bankrupt economy are some of the highest paid politicians in Europe while you and your IMF team do not even pay tax, I believe.

We do know that austerity is only for the little people.
