De Valera deserves to be honoured in 2016

Saturday was the 40th anniversary of the death of Eamon de Valera.

As his most recent biographer (2010) I feel that, although one of the Commandants in the Easter Rising, he may be glossed over in the 2016 remembrance ceremonies.

This would be a pity as, like the other leaders, he had little doubt that his life would be forfeit by his actions.
