Christians should turn to Old and New Testament

SameSexMarriageWeddingCakeTopper_large

In the debate on same sex marriage there is one issue that I have not heard of.

This is what the Holy Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments say about it. These Scriptures are God’s message to the world. For example in second Timothy 3 verse 16 we read: - “All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction and for training in righteousness.”

With this in mind we read in the Old Testament, “You shall not lie with a male as with a woman; it is an abomination” (Leviticus. 18;22). In the New Testament we read - “For this reason God gave them (the wicked) up to dishonourable passions. Their women exchanged natural relations for unnatural, and the men likewise gave up natural relations with women and were consumed with passion for one another, men committing shameless acts with men” (Roman 1;26,27.RSV). We should remember that the ancient cities of Sodom and Gommorah were wiped out largely because of this practice (Genesis 18v20.19v5, 24).

I suggest all who claim to be Christians should take these statements into consideration before they cast their vote in the coming referendum.
