Burton’s water ballooning is her government’s fault

Irish Water is a political scam gone wrong. It’s not about conservation if it was it would have tackled the water wastage. I

nstead politicians chose to spend half a billion setting up an elaborate system for billing. Irish Water is not just a wasteful organisation but results in a duplication of tax payments which the Government is refusing to acknowledge.

The money splashed on the now defunct billing system could have addressed the infrastructural upgrades needed. The lies surrounding this fiasco led to Joan Burton being showered with a water balloon and housewives being pepper sprayed.

The responsibility for this can be traced back to the Government.
