Brady offside when it comes to Keane

Why is that I’m not surprised, that Herlihy, Giles or Dunphy, did not pick up on Liam Brady’s remarks on Roy Keane’s failures as a football manager?

Brady’s tenure as the manager of Glasgow Celtic and Brighton were not exactly covered in glory or success, and his failure to motivate players was dismal to say the least.

Considering the culture of “the old pals act” that exists in RTÉ (witness the number of RTE employees on their talk shows) constructive criticism is something most people can understand, but the silence from the aforementioned really shows that the “apple cart” was not to be upset in the interest of one of “our own”.

Surely the Republic of Ireland can only improve with a new manager.
