An unsporting opinion

K Nolan (Letters, Jul 8, 2013) says “A professional rugby tour sponsored by a disgraced bank. What more does one expect?”

What is his point? Was he suggesting that rugby and a disgraced bank are a fit? If so, then he is wrong.

Rarely do you hear of rugby players getting up to the kind of shenanigans that their counterparts in other sports regularly do, and it is irrelevant to the players and supporters, alike, as to who sponsored the Lions tour.
