America not acting in the name of God

HE may have been the most wanted man in modern history, one of the most despicable, and one of the most reviled, but be that as it may, Osama Bin Laden was, in accordance with international law, entitled to a trial and judgement by a jury of his peers.

He was, however, if press reports are to be believed, the victim of a terrorist-type execution sanctioned by a God-loving and God-fearing nation.

If that nation’s government sent its military personnel out to kill in preference to capture, are they not flying in the face of the God they call on so often to bless their country when one of the principal commandments of that same God is “Thou shall not kill”?

Can we now take it that country will be dropping the phrase “God bless America” from their rhetoric and indeed from their currency?
