WATCH: The sweet moment a German toddler welcomes a newly-arrived refugee

NBC News journalist, Cassandra Vinograd is currently in Germany covering the arrival of refugees into the country.

Throughout her time on the ground she has been recording short vines showing the refugees’ reaction on reaching the European country.

This particular moment, when a German toddler reaches out to hand a refugee - who looks to be of the same age - some sweets, has been retweeted more than 1,000 times.

She also captured this relaxed moment between two young refugee boys as they chatted over some pizza on the side of the road.
