Watch the moment Europe’s Capital of Culture 2020 was announced in Galway

Galway was named this afternoon as Europe’s Capital of Culture 2020.

And while you would be sorry for the #ThreeSisters2020 (Kilkenny, Wexford and Waterford) and #Limerick2020 campaigns, Galway is veryexcited abnout it.

Here’s the moment they found out the news.

The city and county will now receive European and Government funding to host cultural events throughout the year.

And sure don’t they have culture coming out of their ears already up there?

It’s going to be a good year.

See you there in 2020!
