WATCH: Star Wars fan from Athlone gets Padmé's face tattooed on his arm in Cork

This guy is one of the most dedicated Star Wars fans we've ever seen.

Athlone resident David Liss, who is originally from Poland, travelled to the Midleton Tattoo Show at the Midleton Park Hotel in Cork to get a tattoo of Star Wars character Padmé Amidala.

Padmé is the latest addition to David's Star Wars sleeve on his arm, which also features Darth Vader / Anakin Skywalker and Yoda. He hopes to complete the design by next year.

"You need to be a fan to put the Star Wars characters on your arm, on your skin. A big fan," David told Irish Examiner videographer Dan Linehan.

David and tattoo artist Lukasz Konsek from Galway-based Illusion Tattoo hope the design will win them the Best of Show prize.
