Remember China's bizarre Standing Bus? Well they built it, and it works!

The TEB-1, or Transit Elevated Bus, took its first test ride Tuesday in the northeastern city of Qinhuangdao according to China’s Xinhua News.

The Bizzare bus was first unveiled in Beijing’s 19th International High-Tech Expo and it's futuristic and innovative design caught many visitors attention.

The TEB-1 was invented by Beijing company Transit explorer bus as a solution to relieve traffic congestion in Chinas packed and busy cities.

Electric powered, the bus spans two traffic lanes and carries a passenger compartment 2.1 meters above the road on stilts, allow cars to pass underneath.

The Compartment itself, which is 22 Meters long, 7.8 meters wide and 4.8 meters high, is designed to hold 300 people.

A lifesize model of the passenger compartment was on show to the public in east China's Changzhou city before it was dismantled and moved to Qinhuangdao for it's first of many test runs.
