Humpback whales nearly topple kayaker in amazing video

It seems Half Moon Bay in California is the place to be if you want to have a close encounter with humpback whales.

Yesterday, we had the story of the flute playing paddleboarder who literally bumped into one of the whales - but she wasn’t the only one out there.

Eddy Willis is on a six-day kayaking tour of the California coast and ended up in the same bay earlier this week

And while paddling across, two humpbacks made another dramatic entrance while lunge feeding, nearly capsizing his kayak.

Now that’s a use of selfie sticks we can get behind.
